Steve Steger is the founder of Steger IP, LLC, where he concentrates on all aspects of monetizing intellectual property through sales, assertion campaigns, and strategic IP counseling.
Steve has a broad range of IP experience, serving as chief IP counsel at both multinational corporations and smaller startup companies, as well as the business lead for multiple licensing programs. In addition, Steve has represented a broad range of clients in private practice at both smaller patent-focused firms and a large general practice firm. His 20 + years experience includes strategic IP counseling, patent monetization through sales and licensing, patent valuation, infringement litigation, and patent and trademark prosecution and portfolio management.
Steve’s combination of corporate and major law firm experience in both legal and business roles gives him particular insight into what is important to a business from an IP perspective and how outside counsel can best add value to a corporate IP program.
Steve has been recognized as a world leader in the IP community by numerous publications and organizations: he has been recognized as one of the top IP strategists in the world; one of the top 1,000 IP attorneys in the world; and is annually recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer (an honor bestowed upon the top 5% of lawyers) in IP counseling. Steve is a frequent lecturer on IP monetization topics around the globe and has published numerous articles on IP issues.

Elizabeth Rudersdorf

Elizabeth Rudersdorf is a partner at Steger IP. Her practice focuses on monetization of intellectual property assets and strategic counseling to patent owners and investors with respect to intellectual property assets. She currently acts as General Counsel to Allied Inventors, LLC.
Elizabeth has extensive experience in the monetization and valuation of intellectual property assets and strategic counseling related to building and extracting value from intellectual property portfolios. Her transactional work includes patent sales and licensing and has returned value to her clients in the billions of dollars. She has also performed valuations for companies ranging from startups to large corporations that have been used to raise investment funds and secure debt, one of those valuations being a multi-billion-dollar debt raise secured by the client’s patents. Elizabeth also has experience in patent litigation and international arbitration work.
Elizabeth has most recently practiced in-house as General Counsel at Allied Inventors. Prior to that, she was a partner at a boutique IP-focused firm, and an associate at a large international firm, both in the US and the UK. Through her 10+ years in practice, she has represented inventors, small companies, investors, and some of the largest patent owners in the world.
She has been recognized as an Illinois Super Lawyer since 2015 for excellence in the practice of law (published in Super Lawyers Magazine & Chicago Magazine).
